Rangemaster - the very best of British

The October edition of Good Housekeeping features Rangemaster as a company which demonstrates the very best of British innovation, quality and craftsmanship.  The article headlines with “Britain may no longer be the workshop of the world, but it still produces original, well-designed, quality goods.”

Rangemaster’s reputation for innovation, quality and craftsmanship dates back to the early 19th century when the Kitchener was invented in 1830s.  Made of cast iron and heated by solid fuel, it could be used to boil, roast, bake and warm – all from the same heat source – and it was hailed as one of the 19th century’s greatest domestic institutions.  It won one of 17 gold prize medals at the 1852 Great Exhibition and after visiting the exhibition with her aunt, Queen Victoria ordered one for Kensington Palace.

Today, its Freestyle is another example British manufacturing at its best.    It is the first ever built-in range cooker and combines the functionality of a range cooker with the clean lines and modern looks of a built-in appliance.

Good Housekeeping acknowledges that a Rangemaster cooker also brings style to any kitchen – be it traditional or contemporary.  It’s little wonder that Rangemaster is the market leader.
