Rangemaster gets cooking with £3m investment
Rangemaster, part of the Aga Group and the UK`s leading range cooker and kitchen sink company, has emphasised its intention to remain `lord of the rings` with a £3million investment programme in its Leamington Spa and Nottingham production facilities.
The upgraded home on the Rangemaster menu includes a £1.5million investment on the fabric of the Leamington Spa factory buildings and in creating a new development centre for the whole of the Aga consumer operations.
Rangemaster is focused on manufacturing premium quality, design-led cookers and sinks, following the sale of its lower value cooker business earlier this year. It has now re-layed out the factory, new products have been introduced and a new advertising campaign has been developed which will break in September, with the strap-line `now you`re cooking`.
In addition, Leisure Sinks is investing £1.5million in a new press and polisher to boost capacity and flexibility at its Long Eaton factory. With the factory benefiting from a major reorganisation last year, the new investment demonstrates confidence in the business reflected in a succession of new business arrangements with leading retailers attracted by Leisure Sinks` broadened range, including products like the curvaceous Roma sink.
William McGrath, chief executive of the Aga Group, said: "Rangemaster is lord of the rings in the UK and the investment programme highlights confidence that we can expand the business further."

Long Eaton-based Leisure Sinks, part of the Aga Group and the UK`s leading sink manufacturer, is investing a further £1.5million into upgrading production facilities.
A new press to stamp out designs will provide increased flexibility and greater capacity at the Meadow Lane factory, while a polisher will give Leisure Sinks additional finishes and distinctive looks.
With the Long Eaton factory benefiting from a major reorganisation last year, the new investment demonstrates confidence in the business reflected in a succession of new business arrangements with leading retailers attracted by Leisure`s broadened range, including products like the curvaceous Roma sink.
Mike Bufton, managing director of Leisure Sinks, said: "The £1.5 million investment in our production facility, combined with an array of new products is a great boost for our Long Eaton team. We are focused on manufacturing design-led, premium quality sinks which will enable us to capitalise on our number one UK position and to further grow our exports."

Leamington - Home of the Range
Rangemaster, part of AGA Foodservice Group produced the first ever range cooker in 1829 and have been manufacturing range cookers at the Leamington Spa site since 1833.
Rangemaster, the UK`s leading range cooker manufacturer, is investing £1.5million in its production facilities and upgrading the fabric of its Leamington Spa factory. In particular, Rangemaster is creating a new design centre to help to retain its position as `lord of the rings` - in four, five and six burner cookers.
Rangemaster has become the range cooker development and production centre for its parent Aga Group, following the sale of its lower value cooker business earlier in the year.
Rangemaster is also embarking on an innovative advertising campaign this autumn featuring the new Elan and Toledo range cookers, focusing on "the menus of the day" that they inspire.
Mike Bufton, managing director of Rangemaster said: "Upgrading our Leamington Spa home and creating a new design and development centre for the Aga Group is a great boost for everybody here. Rangemaster is firmly established as number one in the range cooker market and with the factory re-layed out to boost range cooker production and new products just launched, we certainly relate to our tag line of "now you`re cooking."
